Conferences, seminars, and olympiads
In the 2024–2025 academic
year, the Polytechnic Institute of the Tajik Technical University named after
Academician M. S. Osimi in Khujand actively developed research and innovation
activities among students and master’s students.
During the year, 14
departmental research clubs and 30 clubs for preparing competition participants
worked successfully. As a result, 60 scientific articles by undergraduate
students and 73 scientific articles by master’s students were prepared for
publication. Some of these articles have already been published. In addition,
32 innovative projects were submitted to competitions for inventors and
innovators.
Student participation in
scientific and academic competitions was very active. More than 220 students
took part in institute-level competitions. Over 90 of them advanced to city,
regional, and national levels.
The institute also organized
subject olympiads in the state language, history, Russian, and English. A total
of 62 students participated in these olympiads at the institute level.
Students and master’s students
represented the institute at the international level. They took part in the
international olympiads “Electrical Engineering – 2025” and “Physical
and Mathematical Calculations in Energy.” More than 40 participants
received diplomas and certificates. Prize winners were:
·
Shamsiya Shamsiddinova, doctoral student
in Agrotechnology and Industrial Ecology — 3rd place;
·
Oliyakhon Ismoilova, first-year master’s student
in Crop Production, Storage, and Processing — 3rd place;
·
Sobitjon Erkaev, fourth-year student in Power
Supply — 3rd place.
During the year, students also
took part in national competitions such as “Science – the Light of Knowledge,”
“Young Researcher and Inventor,” “Master’s Student of the Year,” “Financial
Literacy,” and other national and regional contests.
At the institute level,
scientific conferences, professional and creative competitions, olympiads, and
events dedicated to the Day of Tajik Science were held.
A special event was the
national competition “Master’s Student of the Year.” It has
been held for the second year in a row in April and is organized by the
Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan in honor of the
Day of Tajik Science.
These results show the strong scientific
activity of students and master’s students and the important role of the
Polytechnic Institute in the development of education and science in the
Republic of Tajikistan.
