Admission plan
The Polytechnic Institute of Tajik Technical
University named after academician M.S. Osimi in Khujand annually develops its
student admission plan in accordance with the state order of the Ministry of
Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan. Admission is based on the
results of the National Testing Center, which determines the eligibility of
applicants. On average, the Institute admits about 600–700 students per year to
bachelor’s, master’s, and PhD programs.
The academic process is organized across several
faculties, including the Engineering and Technology Faculty, the Faculty of
Digital Technologies, as well as programs in Energy and Economics. Students may
enroll either on a state-funded basis (government grant) or on a contractual
basis (paid tuition). Instruction is offered in Tajik, Russian, and English,
ensuring accessibility for a wide range of applicants.
Special attention is given to training specialists in
informatics, programming, energy systems, mechanical engineering, and
economics. Master’s and PhD programs require additional entrance examinations
and provide opportunities for participation in advanced research projects. The
Institute also applies a quota system to guarantee equal opportunities for
applicants from different regions of the country.
In addition, students
benefit from participation in international educational programs, including
Erasmus+ projects and partnerships with foreign universities. Olympiads,
competitions, and scientific conferences help identify talented applicants and
provide them with additional opportunities for growth. Thus, the student
admission plan at the Polytechnic Institute is designed to ensure high-quality
training of specialists who are in demand both in Tajikistan and abroad.
